Hi everyone, this is Taka!
The request I hear most often from glass pen lovers is not about restocks at all. It is: will you ever make a medium nib? Nearly every glass pen in our shop writes with a fine nib, the classic choice in Japan. Today I can finally say yes.
I went back to Hideki Hosaka and asked him to handblow medium nib versions of the two pens you love most: the Moonlit Cloud, whose fine nib has just sold out yet again, and the Cathedral, which sold out twice this summer.
A medium nib changes how a glass pen feels in a lovely way. The broader point rides over the texture of the paper more smoothly, with less of the faint catch you can feel with a fine tip, so the pen simply glides. It also lays down a slightly wider, wetter line that lets your ink show its color and shading. If you write tiny letters, fine is still your friend. If you want the smoothest, most relaxed glass pen writing, choose medium.
Hideki handblows each pen himself, so this first medium batch is small: four of the Moonlit Cloud and four of the Cathedral. Only a few fine Cathedrals remain as well, so I do not expect any of them to stay long.
